Like most have said you get what you pay for. For $6, you can't be this knife. The cord that the handle is wrapped in is just nylon cord, but it does not feel that bad in your hands. You can always wrap it in leather, or paracord. Great to have in your backpack, or survival gear. (Posted on 9/30/12)

You are getting what you pay for. That being said these are nifty little knives. The fire steel throws a nice batch of sparks too. The sheath and the cord are ... well .... like I said, you are getting what you pay for. I planned on 86'ing both from the start so I can practice my kydex sheath making and handle making skills.
